Knights and Princesses
Longthorpe Tower, Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 August 2015, 10am – 5pm, admission £4 adults, £3 concessions, £10 families
Ever wanted to be a knight in shining armour? Or perhaps a princess in a wonderful gown? Now’s your chance to learn how! Longthorpe Tower will be populated by medieval characters, to bring the building to life for the whole family to enjoy. There will be ‘How to be a princess’ sessions with visitors at 10.30am and 1.30pm each day, and ‘How to be a knight’ sessions at 11.30am and 2.30pm daily, where prospective princesses and knights of all ages can learn their trades. Behind the Scenes of Peterborough Museum

What happens behind the scenes at the museum? What treasures are not normally on display? What secret parts of the building are not normally open to the public? Find out more about the work of the museum, its key collections and the story of its building with these free guided tours for Heritage Open Days. No need to book, just come on the day! Centurians and Catapults

An action-packed day out as you are transported back 2,000 years to meet the Romans, with spectacular displays of their mighty catapults being fired! This bank holiday weekend, Flag Fen will be living under the rule of the Romans!
