A Very Burghley Christmas!

The team at Burghley House always end the year on a high, with their sumptuous (and extremely festive) Christmas fair. This annual treat not only offers a whole host of seasonal gifts, but also opportunities to shop for luxury food and drink, homeware, decorations and more!

There is nothing guaranteed to get you more in the mood for the festive season than Burghley House’s Christmas Fair – rightly one of the highlights of their calendar! You’ll find a varied mix of over 150 stalls, opportunities to buy fine food and wine, a Victorian carousel, and the opulent heated marquee on the Pagoda Shopping Avenue stuffed with hand-picked goods, from scented candles to ceramics, jewellery to luxury skincare.

The experience divides into different quarters within the grounds. Along the Festive Walkway you’ll be able to sample classic Italian wood-fired pizza, hot chocolate, barista coffee and freshly-baked cakes, as well as Scandinavian open toasts, pastries and juices. Or you could put together your own feast at home using intriguing ingredients sourced from all corners of the globe (as well as our own doorstep!) including honey, cocktails, cheeses and fine spirits, to name just a few. Still feeling peckish? Then pop along to the Stable Courtyard where you’ll find freshly-cooked cuisines from all over the world, from burgers to curries, paellas, pulled pork rolls, traditional pies and cheeses.

More festive treats await at Chestnut Courtyard, where a collection of gorgeous pop-up chalets come stocked with original and covetable gifts. Highlights include glassware, hand-crafted leather notebooks, chocolates and award-winning Christmas puddings! And if it’s decorations you’re after, this is the place: the Burghley Christmas Shop will be offering a sparkling array to suit every taste and budget, so you can get your home properly #FestiveReady!

How and when?

The Burghley Christmas Fair – Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th November 2023, 9.30am – 8pm Thursday and Friday and 9.30am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday

Prices – Adult £10, Child (3-15 years) £5, under 3s free (includes parking). Tickets must be booked in advance and will not be available on the gate.

Timed entry – to minimise queues and crowds, we ask you to book an arrival timeslot for your visit to the Burghley Christmas Fair. You can arrive at any time during your booked timeslot and once here, are welcome to stay as long as you wish.
