Parking In Queensgate Hits The Mark

Queensgate shopping centre has been awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking Award for the thirteenth consecutive year

The British Parking Association and Cambridgeshire Constabulary handed over the accolade after being impressed by the exceptional standard of cleanliness and robust maintenance programme. The auditors were also pleased to see that the centre’s crime figures, already below the national average, had been reduced even further.

Queensgate is currently in the middle of a £10 million refurbishment programme which will see all four car parks completely modernised. Last year saw the re-opening of the Green car park, which has been transformed with a redecoration, a state-of-the-art CCTV and fire safety system, new and improved lifts, new signage and additional parent and child facilities. Work on the Red car park is due to be complete this year.
