It’s spooky time
The nights are drawing in and the temperatures are falling; festival marquees and pop-up outdoor cinema screens are being packed away for another year. Good company
In an era of crushing, chronic loneliness for so many, this games morning at the Iqbal Centre is both a wonderful idea and a lifeline. Simply bring a board game to play, grab a hot drink – and start making new friends. Sessions last two hours and take place every Thursday.

Gorgeous Georgians
Stamford is a picture-perfect town that owes its good looks almost entirely to the architects and builders of the Georgian era. It celebrates this every year with a varied, fun and hands-on festival involving performances, food, talks – and lots and lots of bonnets.
