Talk: Peterborough’s Astronomer

George Alcock MBE was a prolific Peterborough based amateur astronomer, known worldwide for his discoveries of comets and novae, whose life as an observer lasted from the early 1930s to the late 1980s. Dr Richard McKim, a member of the British Astronomical Society, will give an illustrated talk about Alcock’s life and work.
