METAL MASTERCLASS: HOW TO MAKE SHORT FILMS FOR USE ON SOCIAL MEDIA – WITH CINE-SISTER AND RED 7

Sat 28th March 2020 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Cost: £20

A day long masterclass with filmmakers Jay Gearing (Red 7) and Emily Steele (Cine-Sister). This workshop is for artists, poets and musicians who wish to make short films as part of their work or those who are interested in making short films to promote events. In a very practical, hands-on workshop, Jay and Emily will share tips and techniques for making short 3-minute films using mobile phones or cameras that can be shared on social media and the web. They will show you examples of quick and easy ways of editing (rather than teaching you how to use editing packages), interview techniques, capturing decent audio, using extra footage and music to enhance your production.

You will need to have your own mobile phone (please bring your charger and any necessary headphone adapters) – or camera if you have one – with sufficient memory to enable filming.
