Load, Aim, Fire is a new book by Roy Butters and Paul Middleton. It investigates the history behind the stories of the Napoleonic Militia guards from Norman Cross prison using the old mill in Yaxley fen for musket practice. Also the book deals with the tradition that Cromwell\’s soldiers bombarded St. Peter\’s church with cannon, fired from Stilton hill and looks at the available evidence. The book will be available on the night and priced at £6. All proceeds will be donated to Sue Ryder Hospice, Peterborough.
