Huntingdonshire Philharmonic Choir: Royalty and Remembrance
A celebration of the music of Sir C. Hubert H. Parry in his centenary year. Music for royal occasions – I was glad, Blest pair of sirens, Jerusalem – alongside music perfect as we approach the centenary of the armistice – Dear Lord and Father of mankind and his crowning glory, the Songs of Farewell. We will be joined by members of the Northampton Bach Choir for the concert, bringing the choir up to just under 100 singers, and we have been invited to join them for their concert on Saturday 20 October (exactly the same programme for both concerts).
