The Willow Festival

It's nearly time for the region's favourite music festival – and what's more, it's completely FREE to attend!

The Willow Festival takes place on the Embankment, right in the city centre, turning Peterborough into a haven for music lovers and festival addicts for the entire long weekend (this year’s dates are 11 – 14 July) as well as providing local music artists the opportunity to perform to large crowds on home turf. The focus is on new and unsigned acts, who play their music live (no miming to backing tracks here!).

The three-day event attracted a footfall of 82,000 visitors in 2013 and continues to be the city’s premier arts event showcasing 160 live bands and solo acts. The festival is most probably the largest event of its type and remit in the world today.

Those dates and times in full…
Friday 11th July. 4pm – 11pm.
Sat 12th July. 11am – 11pm.
Sun 13th July. 11am – 11pm.

Other attractions include our extreme ride fairground, kids fair, art and crafts demonstrations, food village, alternative and exotic market, fair price bars and general silliness.
