Peterborough named Motorpoint Site of the Year
Peterborough has been named the Motorpoint Site of the Year for a second successive year
Staff at the five acre site, which is located on Edgerley Drain Road on the Boongate Industrial Estate in the city, scooped the honour again at a special awards ceremony hosted by the UK’s largest independent car retailer at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel. The 50-strong site was once again singled out by the company’s directors for their continued hard work over the last 12 months. Motorpoint opened its Peterborough site on the Boongate Industrial Estate in December 2006 as part of a drive to grow its presence in the East of England. Purpose-built, Motorpoint stocks over 500 new and lowmileage used cars from over 30 different manufacturers – all available to drive away on the same day. Ideally located for customers from areas such as Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Rutland, Spalding and Wisbech, Motorpoint is open seven days a week, and until 8pm weekdays. There is also ample parking, free Wi-Fi for all visitors plus a Cafe serving a wide selection of hot and cold foods.
‘We are absolutely thrilled to have been named the Motorpoint Site of the Year for 2017,’ explained Tom Stanton, the recently appointed General Manager of Motorpoint in Peterborough. ‘It’s fantastic for the whole team in Peterborough to be recognised once again by the directors and a great endorsement of the team’s continued hard work and effort.’ Tom and the management team from Peterborough travelled to Palma in Majorca for a three-day allexpenses paid trip as part of their prize. Motorpoint, which was recently named one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies to Work For for a third successive year, is currently one of the principal sponsors of Peterborough United Football Club. It has the naming rights for the 2,500 all-seater Motorpoint Stand at the ABAX Stadium as well as its logo on the League One outfit’s first team training kit.
