Learners and new motorists can drive away in a brand new Fiat 500 Lounge or a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2SXi through the scheme with monthly out-goings starting from £169 (in the case of the Fiat). Launched on New Year’s Day, Fuel & Go will be piloted in twelve UK cities with the intention to roll out across the country through dedicated partners dealerships, with Stoneacre the first dealer to sign up (the scheme will be available through its Midlands outlets this month).

‘This isn’t a gimmick, it’s a realistic way to get young people started in a driving career that is potentially as safe as possible from day one. We don’t particularly want to see curfews and other restrictions put on young drivers, as the Government is currently considering. Early reaction to Fuel & Go so far from parents, driving instructors, motor dealers and young drivers themselves has been positive, and if it is popular, as a truly viable option for safer driving, we hope to be able to expand it further across the country.’

Marmalade has a showroom in Storeys Bar Road (opposite the power station) and is happy for people to call in to see some of the cars available through this latest scheme, or to chat to one of its young driver staff.
