Do you need help exercising?

Vivacity can help you if you have a longstanding health condition and you are aged 16 years or older. Discover how to live a healthier and more active life with Vivacity’s GP Exercise Referral Scheme

We all know that increasing our physical activity can help with a wide range of illnesses and health problems. It can reduce your chance of getting heart disease, cancer and chronic back pain, as well as obesity, hypertension and diabetes. It can also help improve your mental state by helping with depression, anxiety and low self-esteem by boosting confidence and reducing the impact of stress-related illnesses.

For most of us, there is a range of simple solutions, whether it be joining a gym or simply going for regular walks (see next page). For some, however – especially those who have long-term health conditions – exercising can present more of a challenge. But help is at hand. Vivacity now offer a range of weekly classes, at reduced rates, for anyone living with health conditions and who are living a sedentary or physically inactive lifestyle. The classes offer specialist support and advice and present an opportunity to meet and socialise with people who are living with similar conditions.
