The beautiful town of Oundle is preparing itself for Festival fever!

The Oundle International Festival, running from 15 to 20 July, will culminate in the eagerly-anticipated return of the Oundle Food Festival Street Market on Saturday 20 July, from 8.30am to 4.30pm, a fabulous line-up of 70 stalls which will take over the whole of the town centre.

The street market offers an amazingly diverse range of produce and producers, and gives opportunities for people to reconnect with their food – to taste it as it really should be – and meet the people who grow, nurture and produce it. You can find drop-in tastings and demonstrations in Market Place throughout the day, with street theatre and music to add to the family-friendly atmosphere.

It isn’t just about the Street Market on the 20th though, there are lots of foodie events in the week leading up to it. Many have already sold out, but there is still time to get your tickets for ‘Tea with Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall’, taking place on Thursday 18 July at 4pm. The celebrated author, mother and grandmother is giving a talk about traditional home-cooking, and will be signing copies of The Good Granny Cookbook, as well as her other Good Granny books, at the newly refurbished Talbot Hotel in the centre of town. The Talbot will also be serving a delicious, special tea with cakes baked from Jane’s recipes – not to be missed!

Tickets for the tea and the talk can be purchased from Oundle Festival Box Office: 01832 274734 / www.oundlefoodfestival.co.uk
