#SummerFun | Become a ‘Time Explorer’ at Peterborough Cathedral
With the school summer holidays fast approaching, Peterborough Cathedral is recruiting “Time Explorers” aged 8-13 years for an action packed, history themed holiday club. The club runs from 9.30am until 4.30pm Monday to Friday, from 31st July to 11th August, and again from 14th August to 25th August
There will be archery to defend the castle, building super-strong structures, making gruesome grotesques and marvellous medicines, and preparing a fabulous feast to serve in a real medieval hall. There will also be sports, stories, medieval movie-making and lots more.
The holiday club is run by the experienced and DBS checked Schools and Families team at Peterborough Cathedral and will take place in and around the wonderful historic buildings and open spaces on the Cathedral site.
“I am really excited about this programme,” says Alex Carton, Schools and Families Officer at the Cathedral, who is leading the programme. “It’s going to be such fun to share some of the more weird and wonderful aspects of life in times gone by with young explorers who have lots of imagination and energy. I can’t wait for Time Explorers to get started!”
The cost per child is £25 for a day, or £100 per week and sibling discounts are available. To book or to find out more please contact Alex Carton or Judi Horspole on 01733 355307 or email
