The stars align at The Cresset

Famous Names and Fabulous Shows for All the Family.

The coming months at The Cresset offer the popular venue’s usual selection of crowd pleasers with comedy, music, theatre, and family shows in abundance. April is set to be a laugh- a-minute, with some heavyweight comics swinging into town; Al Murray, Reginald D Hunter and Jason Manford hot on the heels of sold out shows from Sarah Millican and Jimmy Carr.

Al MurrayThere are theatrical laughs on the way too, with another camp, filthy and fabulous Adult Panto: Snow White and the Seven Drag Queens is set to be an absolute scream, and if you miss that, the Adult Panto crew have just gone on sale with a new production of Sinderella at The Cresset in October!

More family friendly theatre is on the bill in May, as the award-winning Peterborough Operatic and Dramatic Society (PODS) are pulling out all the stops on a spectacular performance of Shrek the Musical. Given PODS’ track record we’re expecting this to be outstanding!

PantoMusical Theatre fans are well catered for too, with a brand-new musical coming to Peterborough on 4th May. Soul Sisters stars Amelle Berrabah (Sugababes), Nicole Faraday (Bad Girls), and Wendi Harriott (The Voice) as Dionne, Monique, and Rachael, otherwise known as 80s chart topping trio ‘The Fabulettes’ and promises to be the British answer to The Dreamgirls. With a brand-new score full of soul, and a fantastic rollercoaster of a story packed with both hilarious and heart-warming moments, Soul Sisters will make your soul sing out!

Add to this a wide range of music from some great tribute shows including 90’s Live, Frankie’s Guys, and One Night of Queen; the spectacular Illusion: Impossible, the brilliant Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Strictly stars Giovanni Pernice and Anton Du Beke, there really is something for everyone coming up.
