Burghley Film Festival 2019

Get set for an award-winning lineup of films and fabulous food at Burghley House this summer

Movie fans of all ages are in for a treat when one of the UK’s most picturesque outdoor cinema events returns this summer, with a range of showings that also features Oscar-winners Black Panther and Bohemian Rhapsody. Five days and nights of fabulous film are back at the Burghley Film Festival (24-28 July) set in the beautiful South Garden with the Tudor house and Capability Brown-designed parkland providing a spectacular backdrop to the Big Screen.

There’s something for everyone at this year’s open-air screenings, including family favourites Incredibles 2, The Jungle Book and another Oscar-winner: Spider- Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Musical hit The Greatest Showman also joins the lineup, comprising 20 films showing over five days. Also returning this year is our popular food market-style area offering daytime and evening filmgoers a host of foodie delights, including American classics served from an airstream trailer – ideal for anyone who likes some tasty treats to go with their movies.

Some refreshing favourites also return to accompany the big screen – a range of drinks from beers and G&T to squash and iced cola, plus the opportunity to enjoy the show in a hired Burghley deckchair. Discounted advance tickets are now on sale, for both the daytime and evening double-bills. Daytime tickets give access to both screenings during the day, and evening screenings.
