Popular floating city bar Charters is hosting a day of celebrations on Saturday, 9 May in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of VE Day – and it's all for charity!

The fun-filled family day will commence at midday, and will be officially opened by Graham Casey, the Chairman of The Peterborough Royal British Legion, at 1pm.

Craft stalls, vintage vehicles, traditional tea party, cake stall and Sue Ryder vintage clothing are just some of the attractions that will be available on the day.

There will be entertainment during the afternoon from singer David Waters and The Blitz Dancers, and local songstress Luna Nightingale will be performing live in the bar from 8pm.

This event is free to enter, with charitable donations for Sue Ryder and The Royal British Legion hugely appreciated!
