Last year over 60,000 students chose their university place through UCAS Clearing. The Moment talks to University Centre Peterborough (UCP) to find out what students need to do to secure a place at university from September.

There are many reasons why students choose their university place at this time of year and UCAS Clearing is not only for those who didn’t get the grades they needed. You might have not previously considered university, found out your grades are better than expected, changed your mind on the course you want to study, or realised that studying closer to home is more attractive. The most important advice that UCP offers new students is not to leave it too late. You don’t need to wait until the results come out before applying to university through Clearing as you can apply now. UCAS Clearing officially opened on 5th July 2017 so you can apply now and not have to wait until your results come out. This means that when you do get your results, the process will be even quicker and you have already secured your place.
