Established in 2008, the school is coming to Peterborough in a re-launch aimed at encouraging performers of all ages and abilities to get involved and become part of the Wildcats Family
Wildcats opened back in 2008 in Stamford, where founder Caz Dolby found a gap in the market for quality theatre school provision that offered more than just learning the technical aspects of performing. Caz said: ‘From the moment we opened we wanted to offer something more to those who took part in our classes, a feeling that it was about more than just being amazingly talented or performing the best song or dance routine. We wanted to encourage children to build confidence, make friends and develop skills which are transferable throughout daily life, not just in the theatre.’
Wildcats students get to be involved in so much more than just weekly classes. Members get to participate in two shows per year, regional and national performances and have the chance to audition for other Wildcats groups including the prestigious ‘West End Wildcats’ who are performing the musical OLIVER this October at the Key Theatre. Wildcats have also won numerous awards including Best Small Business, Entrepreneur of the Year, Best Social Media and Established Business of the Year. This year Wildcats have also been nominated for the national ‘What’s on for Kids – Best Independent Group for age 5-12’ award. The relaunch in Peterborough sees classes moving to new improved venues and the offer of workshops and show weeks during the school holiday period.
