Call for volunteers at Flag Fen Archaeology Park!

Do you want to become part of a fantastic team of volunteers, who give up their time and share their skills to make a difference? Vivacity’s Flag Fen Archaeology Park is looking for willing volunteers, so don’t miss out – join up today!

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people, gain work experience, and to develop new skills. This is a very special opportunity to get involved with the finest Bronze Age archaeological site in Northern Europe, home to the prehistoric Must Farm boats, which were recently discovered in Whittlesey.

‘Flag Fen is a fantastic place to volunteer because it is such a unique, world-renowned site,’ explains Gill Benedikz, Vivacity’s Volunteer Development Manager. ‘There’s also a wide range of roles available to suit all interests.’

Vivacity is looking for a team of special volunteers to help visitors enjoy and understand the site. In particular, this not-for-profit organisation is looking for Front of House volunteers, who will welcome visitors to the site and help in the café and shop.

Flag Fen also requires a team of volunteer Archaeological Dig Tent supervisors. Volunteers prepare the mock dig site, and educate young archaeologists in methods and finds. In addition to this, Flag Fen is also searching for volunteers who can be Pond Dipping Supervisors to help families appreciate the wildlife and habitats on site.
