Fletton Quays: hot property

Fletton Quays – Peterborough’s stunning new river-fronting development – has been inundated with enquiries

Peterborough’s South Bank is proving incredibly popular, with buyers snapping up Weston Homes’ highly desirable riverfronting residential and commercial development Fletton Quays. Since its launch, Weston Homes have been inundated with enquiries about the scheme, with Bob Weston, Chairman and CEO of Weston Homes, commenting: ‘Fletton Quays is the bestselling residential development in Peterborough – t here is nothing like it in the local marketplace.’

Situated on the banks of the River Nene in central Peterborough and fronting onto its very own ‘urban beach’, this remarkable £70million development has four striking residential buildings, three to seven storeys in height, providing 358 one, two and three bedroom apartments and duplexes. The apartment buildings at Fletton Quays provide London-like architecture with striking glass and panelled façades with balconies to the river frontage, and brick and balconied elevations behind.

The buildings front onto a wide tree-lined linear park that stretches along the whole of the riverfront with large public piazzas that step down to the riverfront forming the ‘urban beach’ created from hard and soft-landscaped areas and sculptural seating. The interiors boast Oakwood-designed kitchens with feature quartz stone worktops, integrated appliances and choice of fitted units. Bathrooms come with a Fascino digitally controlled Smart Tap and Smart Mirror, a vanity unit with integrated storage space and a choice of RAK Ceramics porcelain wall and floor tiles with either a matte or polished finish.

A number of homes feature balconies connected to either living areas or bedrooms, providing exquisite riverside views, while all plots will have private, allocated parking spaces. Fletton Quays forms part of a wider £120 million redevelopment of Peterborough’s South Bank, which includes new headquarters for the City Council, a hotel, commercial premises and bars, all master-planned by the Peterborough Investment Partnership.

Located immediately adjacent to Weston Homes’ development will be the new nine-storey, 160-bedroom ‘inverted’ hotel with rooftop bar, set to be branded the Hilton Garden Inn. With its inverted design, lifts take hotel visitors to the uppermost floors, where there is the reception/concierge, restaurants and rooftop bar facilities. Nene Distillery is also planned to take over the existing Grade II-listed Goods Shed, turning the building into a high-end restaurant and distillery offering whiskies and gins.

Providing views of the city and the river, including the famous 12th-century Gothic Peterborough Cathedral, Fletton Quays and the other new buildings are set to transform and revitalise the historic waterfront of Peterborough. Ideally located in East Station Road, Fletton Quays offers exceptional road and rail links, with the M11 corridor providing easy access to London, Essex and Cambridgeshire among other destinations. Peterborough Railway Station, located only a four minute drive from the Fletton Quays development, provides high speed services from Peterborough into London’s Kings Cross, with a journey time of just 48 minutes.

Fletton Quays Prices at Fletton Quays start from £172,000. For further information, contact Weston Homes on 01733 214970 or visit: www.westonhomes.com/fletton-quays
