This is why developers FW Properties have transformed the Hereward Tower, a 1960s unused office block formerly occupied by the Inland Revenue, into 33 stylish and spacious apartments that are at the very height of city centre living. In a room filled with Peterborough’s most prominent dignitaries, the transformation of the Hereward Tower was unveiled for the first time.

With Stewart Jackson MP, Peterborough City Council Chief Executive Gillian Beasley, Peterborough City Council Leader Councillor John Holdich and Chief Executive of Opportunity Peterborough, Steve Bowyer all sat on the front row, the plans were bound to capture the attention of the city. The £4.3 million regeneration project, completed by FW Properties, at the corner of Broadway and Midgate comprises 33 stylish apartments including three top-level penthouses. Each of the Tower’s six existing floors will offer four two-bedroom apartments and one single bedroom apartment. The newly constructed top floor penthouse apartments each offer more than 1,000 square feet of breathtaking accommodation.

With stunning views over the city, all of the apartments are equipped to a high specification and car parking is also available. The Hereward Tower is located within a 10 minute walk of Peterborough Railway Station with Central London just a 45 minute journey away. Research has shown that commuters who choose to spend an hour on the train to London can save almost £400,000 on house prices (This is Money). The Hereward Tower is also in close proximity of the city centre’s shops and restaurants.

Julian Wells, Director of the developers, FW Properties, said: ‘We are delighted to launch the sale of these apartments in one of the fastest growing cities in the UK. Located at the heart of this bustling city centre, the Hereward Tower is an ideal location for a new home.’ Councillor John Holdich, Leader of the Peterborough City Council, also commented: ‘This development is great news for Peterborough. At a time when the city is seeing huge investment in both infrastructure and leisure facilities, the Hereward Tower regeneration project plays a key part in continuing to put Peterborough on the map.’ The apartments are being sold by Hurfords Estate Agents. Preview tours of the apartments can be arranged by calling 01733 380956.
