UK Pink Floyd Experience – 70′s music
Sat 25th February 2012
This nine-piece “UK Pink Floyd Experience” replicates the line up of the full live Pink Floyd touring band of the late 80’s and 90’s. With state-of-the-art sound and a spectacular light show, the aim is to perfect the atmosphere of the great Pink Floyd in concert! Songs from “Dark Side of The Moon” through to “Division Bell” are featured, so fans of all ages will find something from their era.
The nine band members are all seasoned musicians and include a choreographed and costumed three girl backing vocal section. Lead vocalist and guitarist Paul Andrews fronts the band and has a voice that is remarkably similar to David Gilmour’s. Paul has worked hard to perfect his vocal delivery aiming to replicate every nuance and intonation used by Mr Gilmour. Needless to say, he can play the guitar a bit too!
Paul is joined by David Power on bass and Mike Bollard on second guitar. Both David and Mike add their vocal talents to help create the big “Floyd Sound”. James Archer is on drums and percussion holding down the Pink Floyd groove. The band is completed by Dave Woodfield on piano and keyboards, and founder member Neil Smallman on Hammond organ and keyboards who together complete the Pink Floyd vibe.
The band very much look forward to entertaining you with some of the finest musicians in the UK playing some of the greatest songs in the world.
