What's On

The City Academy of Ballet

Thu 19th July 2012 - Fri 20th July 2012 7:30 pm - 9:15 pm

The City Academy of Ballet’s annual showcase this July will present a first half danced to music from the movies. A classical opening to music by Shostakovich and Danny Elfman will be followed by the Seven Dwarves, Marionettes, songs from Oliver and a Charleston along with a variety of other characters.

Although the City Academy specialises in classical ballet other dance styles are always introduced into their performances to cater to a wider audience. So there really will be something for everyone.

After the interval music by Tchaikovsky will accompany classical and national dances with a grand finale by senior students.

The evening will close with children and adults being presented with certificates, medals and awards gained throughout the year.

There are two performances both at 7.30pm on Thursday 19th July and Friday 20th July.
