Tasty talks: Medieval life at Longthorpe Tower

Tue 19th June 2012 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm

This month at Tasty Talks, Chris Carr will be discussing what life was like in two local medieval great houses,  Longthorpe Tower and the household of Sir Robert de Thorpe. He will be talking about how the household was ordered, who did what, who lived where, as well as hygiene, food and manners – all in all, just about everything you need to know about life in a high ranking house during the 14th century.

The talk costs £5, which includes a roll and soup.

If you’re interested, please call (01733) 864663 or email to book your place. You can also join in on the day, providing spaces are available.

Our Tasty Talks are held regularly on the third Tuesday of each month (term time only), 12.30-1pm.
