The Medieval period was a fascinating and occasionally bizarre time for most places on the British Isles, Peterborough was no different.

The Medieval Peterborough Tour and explores what life was like in the city during this period in history. You’ll find out why a hole was decided as the best place to build our parish church, whose blood and whose arm was kept at the Abbey and how people got about before there was a bridge in the city.

The tour starts from outside Peterborough Museum. Tickets are available in advance from the Destination Centre, or bought on the day from the tour guide.
