What's On

16mm Association National Garden Railway Show

Sat 31st March 2012 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

If you’re interested in narrow gauge live-steam model railways in the garden this is the show to seen- the largest of its kind in the UK. Organisers are expecting around 80 suppliers of equipment and 13 layouts operating live steam model locos on 32mm and 45mm gauge track – and a full-size loco that used to run on Penrhyn Quarry Railway.

This supports the theme of the show: THE PENRHYN AT PETERBOROUGH – celebrating the re-birth of the PQR 50 years after it closed in 1962. You’ll also find secondhand model sales, extensive help and advice stands, a modelling competition, a display of “heritage” models, displays by narrow gauge preservation societies and a chance for junior visitors to operate one of the layouts.

Admission Prices – £8.00 on the gate, in advance tickets available to memebers only, no charge for children.
