Calling all parents
This showing of Behind the Candelabra – Steven Soderbugh’s highly entertaining yet poignant biopic of flamboyant pianist Liberace – is on mid-morning, with lights set to ‘low’ and reduced volume, making it particularly suitable for parents with very young children. (In this instance because the parents want to bring the young children into the screening with them, not because people with young children tend to be in a permanent state of shock and need gentle lighting and muted volume – although this is also the case.)
