It’s farcical
There’s guaranteed to be lots of doors slamming, mistaken identity and fast-talking in this horror-ible farce The Comedy of Terrors, by John Goodrum, performed with vim and vigour by Rumpus Theatre Company.

A tune or two
Ridiculously young, talented and gorgeous, Sam Sweeney and Hannah James take to the stage with some absolutely beautiful renditions of, mostly, English folk tunes on fiddle (Sam) and accordion (Hannah). As both are shortly to pursue other projects (Sam notably with Jon Boden and Bellowhead), this is part of their ‘farewell’ tour.

Only joking
A super night of stand-up comedy at The Key, and fantastic value for money as much as anything else. For a princely nine quid you can catch rising stars Steve Hall (I Am Klang) and Fern Brady, plus headline act Paul McCaffrey, star of BBC Three’s Impractical Jokers.

Town of Hope and Glory!
Don’t worry if you don’t fancy struggling into London for the Proms, as Peterborough has its very own Last Night of Proms that takes place every year, with proceeds going to charity. Peterborough Opera and Stamford Brass will be playing on the evening, presenting a selection of popular opera classics, songs from the first World War and Last Night of the Proms favourites.
