Peterborough Opera’s Summer Concert

2013 is an important year for opera lovers, so celebrate it with Peterborough Opera in style

Some of our greatest composers Verdi, Wagner and Britten all have important anniversaries this year. To commemorate this, Peterborough Opera are returning to St John’s Church on the 20th of July. The concert programme will include opera excerpts by all three, plus some non-operatic items by Benjamin Britten. Peterborough Opera have been entertaining the local area since the 70’s and have an excellent reputation that is based in great singing talent, superb performances and exciting musical renditions.

Peterborough Opera are thrilled to be returning with this concert to St John’s and will be using the great atmosphere of this beautiful Church to ignite the wonders of summer to full effect. Also this concert is supported by the Church itself and sponsored by the St John’s development trust CIC that have been created to produce other cultural events at the Church and have been successfully over the last two years.

If you would like to join us in this evening that celebrates some of our finest music. Then the concert will begin at 7:30pm and you can buy advance tickets at £10 at The Visitor Information Centre by either popping in or calling them on 01733 452336.  You can also buy a ticket on the door but this will be £12. The ticket price also includes an interval drink.
