Peterborough Calling…

Get your Vespa out and your Harrington on for a weekend of ska, mod, reggae, punk and indie at Shed Weekender 9, on 9 and 10 August at Peterborough Rugby Club. Live appearances will include Neville Staples (The Specials); the UK’s most established reggae and rock steady band The Dualers; and one of the most talked about bands on the scene, Buster Shuffle.

Other bands set to appear include: Sex Pistols Experience, The Lucky Devils (who are flying in from France just to play!) The Fire Box, and Cabster. You’ll also find Elvis, Vegas-style, in the mix, just to keep things interesting. A mighty ‘Battle of The Bands’ on Saturday afternoon will include The Limit, The 48Ks, Young Minorities and The Dying Breed.

There will also be a Mod ‘Groovy Room’ with two live performances from Heavy Soul Band and The Loop, plus DJs playing 60s garage and mod revival to keep you on your feet. With 13 bands and nine DJs, trade stalls, custom shows, and other fun and games, the event promises to be its best yet.

Camping on site is FREE. Tickets are £20 for the whole weekend (plus £1 booking fee) or you can pay £25 on the gate. For more information, visit www.shedweekender.com or www.facebook.com/shedweekender9

One cautionary note: this is the final Shed Weekender – and last year sold out! (Scooters not compulsory…)
