Get your kids active this Spring

Lock up the video games and turn off the telly as getting your kids active whilst having fun this Spring has never been easier!

Three new children’s activities have been launched across some of Peterborough’s most popular sports venues, including two brand new sports clubs at Werrington Leisure Centre, as well as transferring our popular Wet and Wild Inflatable Fun sessions at Jack Hunt swimming pool in April.

Give your child a chance to learn an unconventional sport by signing them up for our new Archery Club, perfect for beginners, advanced players and disabled children. All equipment is provided and is ideal for those who have played before and want to refresh their skills, or for those never picked up a bow and arrow before. Strength, endurance and focus is needed for this unique sport, which starts Sunday 14 April and will take place every Sunday throughout the summer between 9.30-10.30am.

However, if your child prefers to participate in lots of different sports, why not bring them along to our Multi-Sports Children’s Club, also starting on Sunday 14 April and held every Sunday between 11am and 12 noon. Some of the sports that children can try include basketball, badminton, indoor football and outdoor tennis on our brand new courts.

We’ll also be introducing our popular family fun swimming sessions at Jack Hunt Pool every Sunday from 1 – 3pm. Enjoy bouncing around on our giant inflatables or jump into one of the crazy waterwalkerz (zorbs), rollerz (two man tubes) or the peddlerz (paddle boats), a novel way to mix fun, swimming and exercise!

All of our children’s events are suitable for children aged 4 – 7 years old, with the exception of the Archery Club which is suitable for children aged 5 and over.

Our ‘Wet and Wild Inflatable Fun’ sessions cost £4 for children, £5 for adults or £15 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children). For more information on the inflatable fun sessions contact the Jack Hunt swimming pool on 01733 864 759.
