Beauty and the Beast

Lamphouse Theatre brings fairytale adventure to the theatre this Christmas. Prepare to be dazzled by this exciting professional production!

This December, Peterborough based Lamphouse Theatre are finding Christmas inspiration in the original French fairytale, Beauty and the Beast.

Lamphouse Theatre are known for their fun-filled, fast-paced storytelling and this year’s Christmas show will be no exception. Packed with brand new live music, comedy, energy and sparkle Beauty and the Beast will feature a cast of only three performers playing numerous parts to tell the classic tale.

Young Beauty’s life is changed forever when her poor merchant father picks her a rose from the Beast’s dazzling castle garden. Beauty becomes mistress of the enchanted castle and befriends the misunderstood Beast who lavishes her with gifts. But one day Beauty breaks her promise and leaves the castle. The Beast becomes sick with heartbreak, can Beauty save him in time?

A tale of love and adventure, this classic story examines morals, truth, friendship, bravery, fairness and forgiveness.

Lamphouse Theatre is also excited to announce a special ticket offer. Lamphouse Theatre would like to offer one free ticket to all children that were cast in the chorus of the Broadway pantomime, Cinderella.

Becky Owen-Fisher, Producer of Lamphouse Theatre says:

“We were so sad to hear that Cinderella wouldn’t be going ahead. We’re huge supporters of Kindred and the excellent work they do with young people in theatre in the city. We know we’d have been devastated if we’d been part of the cast and we want to make sure everyone can experience a bit of Christmas sparkle. We’re offering all the young people that would have been in the Cinderella chorus cast a free ticket, to Beauty and the Beast, as a little Christmas gift.”

Go to Lamphouse Theatre’s website or email to find out how to claim your ticket!
