From an island to Peterborough – 25 March
It’s the piece of music that listeners to Desert Island Discs said they most wanted to take with them if they were ever stranded on a distant shore
And ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Vaughan Williams will be played by violin soloist Amy Littlewood at the City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra’s Spring Concert at The Voyager Academy, Mountsteven Avenue, Walton, on Sunday, March 25, 3pm.
Other music on the programme includes Delius’ Walk in the Paradise Garden and On hearing the first cuckoo in Spring, and will conclude with Beethoven’s No6 Pastoral Symphony.
Accompanied children are admitted free to the concert, where prices are £12.50 and £10.50 (concessions).
