The perfect summer celebration returns to Stamford on Saturday, 5 July, as the ever-popular Battle Proms makes its tenth annual appearance at Burghley House – and YOU could win a pair of tickets to be there!

In addition to a full orchestral programme of sublime classical music, this unique open-air picnic concert features a carefully choreographed and highly emotive Spitfire aerial display and stunning firework finale, all set against the striking backdrop of the grand Elizabethan architecture of Burghley House.

This year the thrilling mounted skill-at-arms display by an expert cavalry troop will be carried out in WW1 regalia to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War, just one of many elements in the 2014 programme that will pay homage to this important historical anniversary.
